Regional Special Projects Committee

The Regional Special Projects Committee provides guidance to Council on Regional Special Projects as delegated by the full Council.

Roles

To take up the following functions as delegated by Council which could include, but is not limited to:

• Responsibility for overseeing the delegated Regional Special Project
• An overall monitoring role in terms of timeframes and deliverables
• Responsibility for reporting back to the Council or other body as delegated by Council
• Identification of significant existing and emerging issues affecting Regional Special Projects
• Identification and monitoring and evaluation of necessary actions by the relevant organisations
• Seek community understanding and buy in through consultation, in respect of Regional Special Projects.

Delegated Authority

(a) Authority to delegate to any subcommittee of the Regional Special Projects Committee, any authorities that have been delegated by Council to the Committee and to appoint members.

(b) Authority for the governance of all statutory functions, powers and duties within its terms of reference.
